The history of the Indian meal, universally acknowledged as "Thali," dates back centuries and is profoundly embedded in Indian culture and traditions.

In ancient times, kings and royalty in India were known for their sumptuous feasts that incorporated an extensive range of dishes served in great quantities. Over time, this exercise trickled down to the common people, and ‘Thali’ became and admired approach of serving meals in households and restaurants across India.

We all know that the ‘Thali’ conception highlights the significance of balance and multiplicity in a meal, integrating diverse flavours, textures, and nutritional elements. It is a depiction of India's rich culinary inheritance and regional miscellany, making it a trendy and exquisite mode to get pleasure from a traditional Indian meal. It is worth bringing up here that something called ‘non-vegetarian thali’ never ever existed in the past. Introduction of Non-Veg Thali is purely an addition and expansion that transpired due to absolute commercialization.

I like Rajasthani Thali that is a culinary treasure that offers a distinctive and exciting dining experience. The assortment of essence and tang in a Rajasthani thali reproduce the gorgeous culture and heritage of the region.

I have been visiting “Rajdhani” for quite some time and I do find irresistible what they serve. I do value the way each guest is received. A host in Rajasthani traditional attire welcomes you with a pleasing smile, places a ‘Tilak’ on your forehead and offers a tiny propitious sweet ‘prasaad’.

Rajdhani Thali classically includes mouth watering dishes like Dal Baati Churma (lentil curry with baked wheat balls and crushed sweet wheat), Gatte ki Sabzi (gram flour dumplings in spicy gravy), Ker Sangri (a traditional Rajasthani pickle), Panchmel ki Sabzi (five-vegetable curry), and diverse types of bread like normal Chapati, Rotla, Bajra Roti and Missi Roti. Furthermore, Thali always features an assortment of Chutneys, Pickles, Papad, Pickles, and Buttermilk to complement the flavours of the focal dishes.

One cannot fail to notice the delicious sweets like Jalebi with Rabri, Ghewar, Malpua or Mawa Kachori Ghewar that round off the meal on a sweet note.

Overall the balance of sweet, savoury, spicy, and tangy elements creates sweet and pleasant intermingling that is certain to leave you appreciating the diversity and complexity of emblematic Rajasthani cuisine.

I express my gratitude to chefs and cooks of Rajdhani for their powerful endeavour, proficiency, and passion, as they continue to make life a more palatable and pleasurable place. My sincere thanks to Hindu Ram (Rasoi Maharaj), Sahdev Nishad (Farsan Maharaj) and assistants Amar Singh and Laxman.

The dining room staff often works long hours, handling diverse challenges with elegance and ensuring that guests leave with an optimistic impression of the establishment.

I would also like to appreciate the efforts of the dining room staff as they are an integral part of the dining experience and contribute considerably to the achievement of Rajdhani.

I do express my gratitude to Rajas Barbare (F&B Manager), Tejaram, and Prem Singh (Captains) and their service team for their hard work, commitment, and allegiance to providing exceptional service to diners.

Thali being served @ Rajdhani is beyond doubt a delightful experience! You are bound to relish the rich variety of flavours and textures.
